What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acute Care Registered Nurse position at Atlas Search?
We are partnered with some of the top hospitals in the country that are seeking Registered Nurses for this upcoming flu season. We’re in need of dedicated and compassionate nurses that are available to work either day or night shifts, full-time, for the Emergency Department, Critical Care, and Pediatrics. The nurses in these positions will provide direct bedside patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, working alongside a team of other healthcare professionals. The base pay range for these positions is $55 to $70 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications and IVs, and implement nursing treatment plans at the bedside
- Diagnose causes of sudden changes in patient condition and give urgent treatments when required
- Deliver emergency medical care, such as cardiac life support, when patients are in crisis
- Update patients’ health information to ensure accurate record keeping
- Work collaboratively with Physicians and other members of the healthcare team to revise treatment plans
- Provide education to patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and medications
Requirements:
- 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- NYS RN License
- BLS/ACLS/or PALS
