What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST I PRN position at Augusta Health Brand?
Performs clinical testing in at least two of the following departments: Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology. Staff who work second or third shifts must be competent in all areas mentioned above. Receives specimens, performs clinical testing, understands method principles, performs quality controls and instrument maintenance, and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits.
Education
HS diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification
Nationally recognized clinical laboratory science certification, credentials or equivalent within 12 months of hire required.

- Accurate performance and collection of tests while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work different shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.
