What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Authorization Specialist I position at Augusta Health Brand?
The Pre-Authorization Specialist core duties consist of obtaining pre-authorizations for the Augusta Health practices and to include Outpatient Radiology, Outpatient Surgeries, Special Procedures, Heart and Vascular, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Pain Management and scheduled admissions.
Pre-Authorization Specialists is also responsible for providing excellent customer service by demonstrating behaviors that align with the organization’s core values and The Augusta Way.
This position will have Remote work opportunity.
Requirements
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience Requirements
- One year clerical experience preferred.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Experience in hospital/healthcare setting
- Experience dealing with pre-authorizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Medical terminology experience
- CHAA certification with the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM).
Licensure/Certification
- CHAA Preferred
