Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Master Planner to join their team. The Master Planner will oversee production schedules, ensure efficient resource allocation across multiple production lines, and support customer satisfaction through precise planning and execution. Paying$32.00/hr-$38.00/hr!!!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production plans based on customer demand, supplier deliveries, and manufacturing schedules.
- Translate projected forecasts and purchase orders into a production schedule across multiple production lines.
- Collaborate with customer demand planners or customer service teams to determine weekly inbound forecasts and improve production accuracy.
- Coordinate material movement with warehouse teams to support changeovers and maximize manufacturing uptime.
- Monitor and adjust key performance indicators for forecast accuracy and production performance.
- Provide input to the finance team for sales and operational planning processes related to volume and capacity.
- Identify demand levels and create tactical production plans, including calculating production lead times.
- Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling across multiple lines to optimize operations.
- Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting and address capacity management issues.
- Work with work centers and machine centers to balance input and output loads, ensuring alignment with material requirements planning (MRP).
- Engage in capacity management activities during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, and production activity control.
Qualifications:
- Education: College diploma or degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years in a scheduling or production planning role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and ERP software (SAP knowledge required).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Supply chain certification or Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
