What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician position at Autism Behavior and Cognitive Development?

Autism Behavior and Cognitive Development is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with developmental disabilities and supporting their caregivers. We achieve this by offering engaging, professional, and data-driven services to help children with autism develop new skills and replace challenging behaviors with more socially appropriate ones. Currently, we provide services in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas.

Our work environment offers ample opportunities for growth and hands-on training.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass the board certification exam
  • Passion for working in the mental health field and a commitment to personal growth
  • Willingness to complete provided online training courses
  • Previous experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or in a related field is not required.

Job Duties:

  • Assist behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts in preparing teaching materials and organizing the environment
  • Collect and record data aligned with the client's goals
  • Support behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts with various assessments
  • Provide direct one-on-one and group behavioral services
  • Communicate with clients, caregivers, and stakeholders about the client's progress (with supervisor approval)
  • Offer constructive feedback and collaborate with others to enhance the client's treatment
  • Follow treatment plan protocols as outlined

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
