Controller

We’re hiring a hands-on Controller to bring structure, consistency, and leadership to our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong processes, improving reporting, and partnering closely with ownership in a job-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and improve a repeatable month-end close process
• Prepare monthly P&Ls and quarterly financial reports
• Reconcile bank accounts and QuickBooks Online monthly
• Develop and manage department budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Oversee AP/AR functions, including AR aging and collections
• Audit project and employee-related invoices
• Maintain vendor files and support vendor negotiations
• Partner with the CFO and CPA on reporting, tax planning, and year-end close
• Help maintain lines of credit, loans, and profit-share tracking
• Support risk management and insurance coordination

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills
• Experience with job-costing or bid-based accounting strongly preferred
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and process-driven
