The Home Lending Associate role is designed for high-performing, customer-focused sales professionals who want to help make homeownership more accessible. HLAs play a critical role in guiding borrowers through one of the most important financial decisions of their lives while delivering best-in-class customer service.
This role also serves as a career pathway to becoming a licensed Loan Consultant, with top performers eligible for mortgage licensing and promotion over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline of business prospects including home buyers, refinance customers, and home equity line of credit seekers
- Achieve and exceed sales performance targets by driving customer conversion through key funnel stages
- Assist customers throughout the mortgage application process
- Handle inbound customer calls and make outbound follow-up calls
- Execute sales activities within defined service-level timeframes (e.g., rapid response to new prospects)
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through strong product and market knowledge
- Understand customer timelines and objectives and adapt approaches to meet individual needs
- Provide feedback to product, sales, and revenue operations teams to improve internal tools and customer experience
- Participate in testing and improving internal software and sales processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, including at least 1 year in the mortgage industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong ownership mentality
- Strong customer-centric mindset
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and rapport-building skills across diverse customer groups
- Strong written communication skills
