About the Role
The Sales Development Associate role is designed for high-performing sales professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role plays a key part in making mortgage solutions more accessible by supporting borrowers throughout their home-buying, refinancing, or home equity journey.
Sales Development Associates work on the front lines, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to share customer insights and help improve core technology and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline of business prospects, including new home buyers, refinancing customers, and home equity line of credit prospects
- Achieve sales performance targets by driving customer conversion through key funnel stages (e.g., converting prospects into leads)
- Execute sales activities within defined timelines, ensuring prompt follow-up with new prospects
- Deliver outstanding customer experiences by addressing questions and inquiries effectively
- Build strong product and market knowledge to better support customer needs
- Understand customer timelines and objectives, adapting approach to meet individual needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal tools and customer experience by providing feedback to product, sales, and revenue operations teams
- Participate in testing and refining sales processes and in-house software
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months of inside sales experience (mortgage industry experience preferred but not required)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and winning sales awards
- Strong sense of ownership with a proactive, accountable mindset
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong customer focus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers from diverse backgrounds
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
