Searching for a financial leader looking to make a difference. Our client is a non-profit retirement home and they are adding a Director of Finance to their team. This person will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting practices, treasury functions and internal controls as well as audit prep, annual budget and monthly financial reporting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage treasury, accounting & budgeting functions for retirement home & foundation.
- Oversee A/R and A/P including billing & collections.
- Prepare workpapers for annual audits & direct finance office staff to maintain proper records & accounting controls.
- Supervise payroll & employee benefits processing ensuring compliance with federal & state reporting requirements.
- Establish procedures to maintain adequate internal controls.
- Issue monthly & quarterly financial statements & prepare annual budgets.
- Assist with annual cost reports, 990s and coordination of Foundation contributions.
Requirements:
- 4 year degree required
- 5 - 7 years of accounting experience preferably in medical
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, payroll processing, internal auditing and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets and word processing
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills including public financial presentations
- Able to work overtime as needed i.e. audit prep or end of month, etc. and attend occasional evening or weekend meeting
- Valid Driver's license
