What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Aventure Staffing?
Heavy Equipment Operator | $18-20/hour
Monday-Friday, 6 am-6 pm
A local construction company in Cherokee, IA is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team! This position works independently and with a team and is responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining various equipment. Heavy Equipment Operators have the possibility for overtime! This is a great opportunity to work with a long-term construction company in the area. This is a popular position with only a select number of positions are available. Responsibilities:
- Load, unload and place various equipment
- Operate equipment such as dump truck, back hoe, mini excavator, dozer, trencher, skid loader, forklift, etc.
- Perform safety and maintenance checks
- Perform maintenance on equipment as needed
Requirements:
- Previous equipment operator experience
- CDL A preferred, or ability to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
