JOB SUMMARY :

The receptionist greets patients, obtains and verifies patient demographics and insurance information and updates records accordingly, generates and delivers proper patient forms to the intended departments, schedules various patient tests, processes patient charges and billings, collects and applies payments, prepares bank deposits, answers patient billing questions, answers all incoming phone calls in a courteous and timely manner, processes incoming and outgoing mail.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
