Avery Products Marketing Operations team is seeking a talented, resourceful and experienced Graphic Designer to develop digital product content for basic content and enhanced content – i.e. graphic design and production – to create visual content for our online marketplace product detail pages (PDP’s). In this role you will be collaborating with product managers (Marketing) with the overarching responsibility of delivering and managing well-designed, consumer-friendly, and inspiring product images to drive engagement, enhance customer experience, and support sales initiatives.

What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with the eCommerce, Marketing, and Consumer Success teams to design and develop effective visual solutions to complex product features.
- Design and manage packaging artwork for both line extensions and new products.
- Prioritize and execute tasks across multiple creative projects effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Manage your tasks in Wrike (Avery’s project management system) responsibly and in a timely manner.
- Present ideas and recommendations to peers, internal clients, and upper management in a clear and articulate manner.
- Coordinate with Digital Asset Manager to make final image assets available via Avery’s DAM.
- Conduct competitive research and analysis to continuously optimize digital content and design processes.
Product Images for PDPs (about 70 – 80% of creative developed)
- Synthesize intricate product features and specifications into concise, consumer-friendly infographics.
- Develop lifestyle images which illustrate primary and secondary uses for a wide variety of products used in various settings.
- Determine the best approach for developing image assets, whether utilizing stock images, creating renderings or conducting internal photo shoots.
- Lead image pre-production and production activities, including shot lists, art direction, styling and collaborating with our in-house photographer.
- Adhere to Avery’s style guides to ensure visual consistency and brand integrity across all product detail pages.
- Adhere to product image specifications, including file naming conventions and metadata requirements.
What you need to Succeed:
Education, Experience & Hard Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or similar degree (i.e. Communication Design, Digital Design, Web Design etc.)
- 5-7 years of graphic design experience in a deadline-driven environment.
- 3 years of eCommerce design experience for websites and marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Staples, Walmart, etc.).
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing graphics for an ecommerce or manufacturing company. CPG experience preferred.
- Experience producing digital assets for product detail pages (PDPs), enhanced content, and/or packaging.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to do photo retouching and image manipulation.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 Business including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience in using scripting and automation in Photoshop.
- Ability to create designs by leveraging knowledge of typography, layout and composition, color theory, grid systems and use of imagery.
- Strong design aesthetic with a proficiency in the principles of design: contrast, balance, proportion, hierarchy, white space, movement and unity.
- Solid design conceptualization skills and experience.
- Experience using project management tools such as Wrike, Jira, or Asana.
- Intermediate knowledge of DropBox.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for design workflows or automation.
