Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for all employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong cleaning skills, experience in facilities maintenance, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Willingness to learn Light Maintenance from Chief Engineer.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Execute floor care duties such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities for both residential and commercial properties as needed.
- Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks, addressing minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and available.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management regarding cleaning or repair needs.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.
