We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to provide advanced technical support throughout the project lifecycle. This includes during the design, engineering and implementation process. They will oversee deployments and installations, validate solutions and support managed services requirements for our clients or at the client site. Responsibilities
- Test and Validate implementation of Audio/Video technologies
- Comprehend advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals
- Knowledge of Mechanical – non-audio/electrical accessories/ infrastructure related to Communications Technologies
- Report out and provide daily updates and Vendor Installation Progress
- Use common Communications Technologies system design tools: AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Bluebeam, etc.
- Reference Scope Documents and Specification Sheets
- Interact with other trades such as general contractors, electrical contractors, architects, low voltage installers, etc…
- Coordinate ongoing system testing, provide test analysis, test reports and recommendation for changes and upgrades
- Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, Multicast, is a plus
- Competent with Windows based software such as MS Office and Project
- Employee may also perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associates degree in technology related field or equivalent experience
- 3 years' experience in Project engineering or technical position with an AV integration firm,
- preferably with project, design, or installation foreman related responsibilities
7 years of experience in Unified Communications Integration
- Must have technical certifications from several major AV equipment manufacturers, such as Crestron, Extron, QSC or similar firms
- Proficient in the use of MS Projects, AutoCAD and Visio
- Experienced in installation and deployment of Cisco Room Kit endpoints
- Hospital or Hotel Room Entertainment System Experience is preferred
- Oversee vendors for Communications Technologies installations
- Provide project status on a regular basis as project team requires
- Possess strong analytical and organization skills
- Ability to pay attention to the smallest details of a project/task.
