AW Health Care is currently seeking a Full Time Human Resources Assistant for our office in University City, Missouri.


JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Assistant provides support human resources and business processes by maintaining files and records, responding to request and inquiries for information, answering phones, scheduling appointments and providing general clerical support as requested to the Regional Director of Human Resources.


Human Resource Assistant Job Duties:

  • Answers phones daily for AW Health Care’s main business line
  • Completes and returns via fax employment verification requests
  • Assists with Employee File/HRIS maintenance 
  • Assists with contractor records, ensuring all needed items are received and present in the contractor file.
  • Assists with onboarding of new employee and follows up with candidates to increase use of electronic onboarding tool.
  • Initiates and ensures completion of FCSR, EDL, OIG and Education and/or certification verification.
  • Prepares employees for work assignments by planning and conducting new employee Orientation; schedules new employees for Orientation; holds Orientation at each company location, as necessary; keeps hiring managers in the loop regarding when new employees will be orienting and available for further departmental training or scheduling with clients.
  • Conducts, plans or assists in planning all training for new and existing employees; follows up on the training needs of each employee in order to maintain compliance with regulations of government or other regulatory agencies; establishes and maintains compliant documentation system for all training.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements and maintaining records.
  • Assists HR leadership in preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Cross-trains on other Human Resource, Payroll and office functions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as requested.
  • Maintains employee email and cell phone lists as appropriate.
  • Maintains positive attitude & professionalism with both clients & colleagues;
  • Performs other task and projects, as needed;


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Works indoors in the Agency office.


JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Supervised by: Regional Director of Human Resources


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in Related Field or equivalent work experience in human resources
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate with others, including customers, in a clear, understandable and professional manner on the phone, via email and in person; and the demonstrated use of good written (ie, good grammar/spelling) and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with multi-line phone system, fax, and copier
  • Ability to find solutions and manage relationships across departments
  • Ability to Multi-Task and prioritize with limited direction
