Job Title: Peer Support Services Program Supervisor
Overview: Under the direction of the Director of Peer Support Services, the Peer Program Supervisor provides overall administrative direction and leadership to the Peer Support Services team. This role is crucial in enhancing our behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality peer support, compliance with standards, and effective program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Director of Peer Support Services, oversee the day-to-day operations of the Peer Support Services program, ensuring adherence to the NCDHHS guidelines and standards.
- Plan weekly work assignments for Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPPS), no later than 9 am Monday.
- Run weekly reports to compare assigned hours for the week; track note status updates on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Make weekly contact with CPSS to ensure engagement issues are addressed and notes are submitted timely.
- Facilitate collaboration between peer support services and other treatment modalities within the organization to promote integrated care.
- Assist in the development and review of initial Person-Centered Plans and their review for re-authorizations.
- Complete discharge documentation for clients ending services
- Attend weekly virtual Manager's Meetings and monthly Divisional Meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience as a mental health or substance use Qualified Professional (QP).
- Possesses knowledge of the CPSS role and work, as well as understand the principles and philosophy of recovery and the code of ethics of the NC Peer Support Specialist Certification Program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of Medicaid guidelines and the NCDHHS Peer Support Services framework is a plus.
