Summary / Objective
The Senior Fence Installer is responsible for overseeing all phases of a construction project while producing quality fence construction alongside team members.
Essential Functions

- Opens warehouse daily and assists Production Manager with dispatch of crews.
- Trains new employees on job duties, installation procedures, safety practices, etc.
- Acts as the point of contact on assigned projects, both internally and externally.
- Works with Production Manager and Project Coordinators to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with construction projects.
- Initiates and maintains liaison with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
- Monitors and controls project on-site to ensure completion is on schedule.
- Constructs project per work order instructions and contacts Project Manager/Rep should questions arise.
- Leads team by taking initiative, delegating tasks to increase productivity, teaching job knowledge and skills to others and maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Ensures company truck is operable and complies with federal, state and local laws.
- Investigates potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures.
- Communicates and enforces safety procedures and job-site rules.
- May requisition supplies, materials, and equipment to complete the project.
- Formulates reports such as work progress, quality control, and scheduling.
- Interprets and explains plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
- Analyzes and comprehends scope of work, blueprints, specifications, and other construction documentation.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies and associations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises and assists with management of employees working in the Production department.
Work Environment
This position operates in both a professional office environment as well as in outdoor weather conditions. This role is often exposed to elements such as extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, sleet, ice, etc. The noise level on job sites can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to and possibly exceed 80 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. This position regularly requires long hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires frequent travel to and from job sites daily. Frequent travel outside the local area and overnight travel are expected.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field. Work experience may be substituted on a year by year basis.
- 3-4 years of experience in related industry.
