SECTION 1: POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician role will focus on Safety, Quality, predictive and preventive maintenance requirements with regards to the HVAC system, building, infrastructure, equipment and utilities. Tools and maintenance area should be organized and maintained at a high level of cleanliness and follow procedures to perform specific duties and responsibilities. Attention to detail, observational skills, forklift operation, equipment operation, troubleshooting, installation, ammonia and safety along with organization skills and communication are crucial as you will work as a team to ensure the smooth daily operations of the plant.

SECTION 2: JOB DUTIES
Essential Job Functions:
1. Perform building HVAC, plumbing, Electrical, PLC and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance as necessary.
2. Utilize e-maintenance to manage equipment, PM Process, parts ordering and predictive maintenance and repair of the building, utilities, and equipment.
3. Implement and execute preventative and predictive maintenance measures and procedures for equipment.
4. Maintain inventory of repair equipment, supplies, and tools.
5. Maintain the organization of the maintenance areas to be organized, clean, and to meet all required food safety requirements.
6. Complete inspection of facilities and equipment with Maintenance Manager.
7. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency and notify appropriate personnel always following safety protocol.
8. Proactively look to provide hygienic equipment design and implementation of ideas to eliminate waste, improve equipment uptime and safety.
9. Regularly clean and maintain tools in an organized lean manner.
10. Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Skills Required for this Position:
Ability to read and understand procedures and policies and write in English
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Work as a team with production in fast paced environment
Work in an environment with cold temperatures, warm temperatures
Detail-Oriented
Effective written and oral communication skills
Work with little supervision when required
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
Bilingual is preferred but not required
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years working in a production environment
High School Diploma or equivalent
HVAC, Journeyman Plumber, or Journeyman Electrician
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to use a computer and Microsoft office
SECTION 3 JOB HAZARDS:
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions as well as room temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to 100 degrees F. The employee will also be dealing specifically with HVAC systems, thus exposure to electrical wiring is imminent.
