Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday from 8am-5pm
Classification: Exempt

Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for managing all daily shipping and receiving functions, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant movement of materials and finished goods. This position plays a critical role in coordinating customer shipments, inventory control, and departmental communication while leading a small warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping:

• Oversee daily outbound shipments and order fulfillment

• Ensure accuracy of contents, documentation, and packaging

• Coordinate with carriers and resolve shipping delays

• Communicate with Sales and Customer Service for special handling

• Train and supervise shipping staff

Receiving:

• Manage all incoming shipments, logging and verifying materials

• Inspect deliveries, escalate discrepancies, and tag inventory

• Coordinate with Inventory Control and Purchasing

• Support cycle counts and maintain receiving documentation

• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area

Supervisory & Administrative:

• Assign daily tasks and oversee warehouse team performance

• Maintain documentation and records in the ERP system

• Participate in process improvement efforts and cross-department collaboration

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience

• Strong knowledge of documentation, inventory flow, and ERP systems

• Experience supervising or training warehouse teams

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and shipping platforms

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs

• Stand/walk in warehouse environment throughout the day

• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment

Work Environment:

• Combination of warehouse and office settings

• Exposure to material handling equipment and delivery activity
