We are seeking a Sr Hardware Engineer for our client in Cupertino, CA/. This role is onsite and very hands on position.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and review electrical systems and sub-components from concept to
production.
● Drive resolution of cross-functional issues including those related to architecture
(performance, power consumption), production (quality, failure analysis, manufacturing),
and development (schematic design and review, PCB layout, and system integration).
● Board bring-up and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems.
● Work with the Hardware team through EVT, DVT and PVT production to help ensure a
high quality product
● Work with contractors/suppliers/manufacturing partners to establish relationships for
future product designs.
● Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of quality in all
assembled products.
Job Title: Sr Hardware Engineer
Job Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Cupertino, CA
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
● 5 years of experience in hardware development, using schematic capture tool and PCB
layout viewer (e.g. Altium), board bring up and debugging.
● Must have shipped products that are in use in the market today
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
● Experience with diagnostics for electrical hardware issues for embedded systems
● Experience in component selection, schematic design, layout, simulations and testing.
● Ability to debug boards with multi-layer PCBs and handle high-density interconnects.
● Experience in one or more of the following areas: SOC/MCU, power (DC-DC converters,
and power management),audio, camera, thermal wifi/bluetooth,accelerometer sensor
integration.
● Experience in debugging hardware issues, using tools like oscilloscopes, logic
analyzers, and digital multimeters and driving failure analysis to identify root causes of
reported issues.
● Ability to collaborate with thermal, mechanical, firmware, and software teams to ensure
efficient product development.
● Experience working closely with firmware and software teams to debug and integrate
hardware at the system level.
● Experience with various communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, MIP),
● Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC Compliance considerations
in PCB design.
● Experience with system integration with software development from firmware through
system level.
● Proficiency in thermal management and awareness of thermal design considerations.
● Experience debugging power issues on embedded electronics device
● Collaborating with software teams to understand and resolve design tradeoffs across
hardware/ software for seamless integration.
● Work with the operations team on manufacturing test development and contract
manufacturing
