Position Summary :
As an industry leader in wholesale, retail, and residential food distribution, Baldor Specialty Foods continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. The Warehouse Helper I – Sanitation Helper will assist in maintaining the work site clean free of debris.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pulls pallets and cleans product bays on a rotating basis.
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment according to the established time constraints and quality standards.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the sanitation cycle consistent with HACCP, USDA and GMP guidelines.
- Follows guidelines for proper use and safety of chemicals and equipment.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency in regards to daily duties: cleaning, washing, dusting, organizing, mopping, sweeping and trash removal.
- Complies with GMP rules and regulations.
- Takes ownership of food safety standards and prevents cross contamination.
- Safely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuries.
- Consistently comes to work on time and as per scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Custodial experience preferred.
- Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; able to work with little direct supervision.
- Ability to operate powered pallet jacks, hi-lo, reach trucks, hand pumping jacks, forklift, box cutter and RF Scanner.
- Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in cold warehouse environment (36°F – 38°F).
- Must be open to working weekends; 1 st & 2 nd
