Maintenance Worker (Parking Division)
The Baltimore County Revenue Authority is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Worker for its Parking Division to work Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM and must be available for occasional weekend work.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Worker performs maintenance service and repairs in various parking facilities, including lots and multi-level parking garages, corporate offices and other public facilities.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Performs janitorial maintenance and light repairs in all locations
- Projects may include painting, light carpentry and repair/maintenance of parking equipment
- Under general supervision, may assist with automotive, electrical and plumbing repairs
- Performs maintenance of landscape to include cutting the grass, snow removal, etc
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Previous Maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Mechanical aptitude
- The ability to respond courteously and professionally at all times
- The ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, drive, bend, kneel, reach, work on ladders and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Familiarity with minor automotive, electrical and plumbing repairs
