The Training team is looking for a Full-Time enthusiastic, engaging, and motivated TEAM PLAYER, who is a self-starter to join our training team! You will be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, and implementing training activities throughout BSJ in both team and individual work environments. This position helps in identifying training needs and designs support materials including audio-visual aids, computer presentations, manuals, workbooks, and scripts. Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and employee performance. Maintains training library resources and distributes materials to employees as needed. Provides support in the planning and implementation of large events and meetings and assists in helping provide a strategic position to foster the growth of employees, our company and a primary promotor of our Core Values: Honesty and Integrity, Service to the Customer, Teamwork, Respect for the Individual, and Giving to the Communities We Serve.
The salary range for this position is $22.00-$24.00 per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements effective Training policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assists management in identifying BSJ training and development needs.
- Evaluates training programs and services. Provides recommendations and suggestions for improvements.
- Designs and develops training procedures and programs. Prepares audio-visual aids, training manuals, scripts, and workbooks.
- Conducts training sessions to ensure BSJ personnel are effective in their respective positions. Delivers employee orientations, on-the-job training programs and in-service activities as necessary.
- Ensures the maintenance of a Training Resources library and related audio-visual equipment.
- Assists in coordinating and scheduling training activities.
- Completes training functions in accordance with established programs and procedures.
- Ensures that professional business relations exist with vendors and trade professionals.
- Represents BSJ in contacts with consultants and trade professionals.
- Ensures requests, questions, and problems are courteously and professionally resolved. Ensures communications are efficient and effective.
- Ensures BSJ's professional reputation is maintained both internally and externally.
- Supports a professional working atmosphere by behaving and communicating to maintain a positive working relationship with customers, co-workers, and managers.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with BSJ personnel and with Management.
- Keeps management well informed of training activities and of any significant problems.
- Completes required reports, records and other documentation.
- Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training.
- Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization.
- Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

About You
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of banking or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- One or more years of related, training, experience, including time spent in preparator positions is preferred.
- A high school education or GED is required.
Certified Training Professional or equivalent certification or education is preferred.
Certification is required within 24 months of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
Required Knowledge:
- Understanding of job functions and operations at all levels of BSJ (preferred).
- Knowledge of training systems and resources.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills and Abilities:
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature are a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Occasional local and out of town travel.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
