What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Banker Steel Company LLC?
***Available position is for weekend day shift **
Qualifications:
- One (1) year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but will train if necessary
- Capable of accurately read a tape line and take measurements.
- Read blueprints and interpret instructions
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Experience using hand-measurement tools is preferred
- High School diploma/GED required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of programming and the operation of a CNC machine
- Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
- Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
- Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts.
- Maintains safe operations of all machines by adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
- Monitor the machine to ensure that it is running at maximum performance
- Detect and report all machine malfunctions
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
- Adjust machine as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Work and Environmental Conditions:
- Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions;
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
- Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures.
