PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
A Product Manager is a professional who combines product planning and marketing to manage the entire life cycle of one or multiple projects. They are responsible for gathering customer requirements, defining their vision with engineering, and overseeing product, pricing, and positioning strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS OF THE POSITION:
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
- Use knowledge of company capabilities and processes to provide quotes on products and
- Update customer on order and account status when requested and notify of any changes, technical issues, or potential delays.
- Understand and utilize the ERP system to enter orders, check the status of existing orders, and run reports.
- Coordinate with Scheduling and Operations to be aware of order progress throughout the manufacturing process.
- Review contracts with the customer no less often than annually; more frequently when required.
- Create documents such as letters, job jackets, BOMs, routings, etc., as required.
- Follow all safety, ethics, and security policies
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supply Chain Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze numerical data and various reports
- Bachelors degree required
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Seradex, S.A.P., MAPICS, MS Dynamics, etc.), Quality Management System software (e.g. Epicor, Synergy, Intelex, etc.), and MS Office
- Knowledge of the Manufacturing or Printing Industry desired.
- Work week: Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 4:00pm and as needed
- Strong team player as well as has the ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, walk, stand or stoop as required.
- Ability to type/keyboard for extended periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Salary : $70,000
