Grade:                     Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Location:                 Volga, SD

Supervisor:              Clay Bastian

Workdays/Hrs:       Monday – Friday (8am-5:30pm)

                                 Saturday (rotation 8am-11am)

Responsibilities:

Customer Service Representative

  • Radiate a friendly, favorable bank image to customers while enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Consistently communicate a caring, helpful, willing to listen, and winning attitude toward customers and co-workers.
  • Greet and assist customers, respond to inquiries, and phone calls, while directing customers to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Uphold and maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
  • Educate customers on products and services offered, while identifying solutions to match their needs.
  • Reconcile cash draws, counting and packaging coins, currency and assisting with vault and ATM transactions as needed.
  • Process daily transactions for customers which may include depositing funds, withdrawing funds, receiving. and processing loan payments, debit card duties, gift cards, cash advances, order checks, balancing cash drawer, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Assist customers with their online and mobile banking needs, order checks, handle debit card issues and maintenance, and other operational duties as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures concerning teller functions.
  • Maintain Quality Service standards, through being a role model for all employees while cultivating a positive customer experience that is welcoming, responsive and solution oriented.

  • Teamwork:Excel in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Assist in incorporating new ideas, processes, and procedures into the workspace. Ability to work within a small team or an external party.
  • Planning & Organizing:Solid problem solving and decision-making skills while completing tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Prioritize work and pivot on tasks from multiple sources through self-direction and minimal supervision.
  • Managing Change:Incorporate new ideas, processes, and procedures into the bank and radiate positivity.
  • Responsibility:Willingness to assume responsibility, be accountable, and make independent decisions.
  • Problem Solving/Critical Thinking:Identify problems while using sound judgment to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Technology:Attend training to ensure competent use of IT resources.  Comply with appropriate bank Policies, IT Policies, Procedures, and Information Security Program. Provide feedback on IT issues and experiences. 
  • Compliance: Ability to learn, stay informed and adhere to relevant bank policies, procedures, and protocol.  
  • Physical Demands:Intermittently remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and occasionally move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Equipment:Working knowledge of standard office equipment.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience desired.
  • Previous teller or banking experience strongly preferred.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
