As a Maintenance Technician at Banyan Living, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning and appearance of our properties. Your responsibilities will include performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, responding to resident requests, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable living environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the property and perform necessary repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents
- Complete tasks related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
- Prepare vacant units for new residents by performing thorough cleanings and necessary repairs
- Assist in maintaining the grounds and exterior areas of the property
- Maintain tools and inventory of supplies required for maintenance activities
- Work in compliance with safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of maintenance experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Availability for on-call duties as needed
