About the company: Our client is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney with construction experience to join a dynamic team in Oakland. The annual minimum billable hours target is approximately 1600.
About the Role: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of litigation experience, with a proven track record of managing cases on their own. Experience with construction litigation is preferred. Matters include construction and real estate disputes as well as advising clients on construction and real estate contracts.
Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will encompass a range of matters, including:
- Manage cases on your own
- Propose litigation strategy
- Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Take and defend depositions
- Argue motions in court
- Offer legal advice to clients regarding construction and real estate contracts
Qualifications: Admission to the California bar is required. A distinguished academic record as well as strong communication and organizational skills are desired. At least 5 years of litigation experience; construction experience is preferred.
Pay range and compensation package: This position provides a competitive base salary range of approximately $160,000.00-$190,000 and a lucrative bonus structure for hours billed in excess of the minimum.
