Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs and developing personalized care plans to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your expertise in medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy will be essential in providing high-quality therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Utilize medical imaging and other diagnostic tools to inform treatment strategies.
• Provide therapy services in various settings including clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and home exercises.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.

Experience

• A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy is essential.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing facilities or home health settings is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are necessary.
