The Basics
Location: Statesville, NC
Compensation: $21.00/hr and up
Days/Hours: This will be a 1st shift job, 7:00am to 3:30pm, Mon-Fri, with some overtime, including weekends
Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs
Material Handled: Bulk wheat

What You’ll Be Doing
The duties of this hands-on job will include unloading rail cars and in-bound trucks, operating scales and grain grading systems. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross trained to perform a variety of tasks. As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to back trailers
- Able to drive a manual transmission
- CDL preferred, but not required
- For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
- Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
- Able to pass a criminal background check

- You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces

- You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
