Job Description
The Provider Relations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the portal access requests received from the MSO and medical group in a timely manner. The Provider Relations Coordinator will interact with people on a regular basis, whether it’s office managers, medical assistants, or doctors. The Provider Relations Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Provider Relations Manager.
The Provider Relations Coordinator must be able to work independently with minimal oversite, think outside the box, and work in a fast paced, high volume work environment. The Provider Relations Coordinator must also be able to multitask and prioritize in order to execute in a timely manner, be detail oriented, have strong communication skills, and always want to learn more.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Process portal access requests in a timely manner.
· Troubleshoot payor portal issues & determine appropriate course of action.
· Manage portal access emails and respond in a timely manner.
· Create and maintain provider relations website, including but not limited to alerts and news updates.
· Update payor contracts roster on a regular basis.
· Assist credentialing department & Sr. Provider Relations Manager as needed.
· Additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- 2 years medical billing experience
- 2 years in managing various insurance types: HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient technical skills (including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe PDF, & Internet)
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Works well as a team and independently.
- Positive “can do” attitude.
This position is onsite in Walnut Creek, CA

Pay Scale/Ranges:
$23.00 - $28.00 *
*Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The pay scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
