Position Details- Cytotechnologist
- Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital - Plant City, FL
- Facility: BayCare Health System, Cytology Services
- Status: Full Time, Non Exempt
- Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm (May Vary)
- Occasional weekends required
- On Call: No
- Always in person, no remote work

The Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and diagnosis Non-GYN cases for Pathologist review
- Evaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.
- Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including CT-Guided and US-Guided procedures.
- Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.
- Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.
- Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.
- Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.
- Works independently and in a team.
- Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
- Use computer skills appropriate to position.
- Needs to understand medical terminology.
Requirements:
- ASCP Certified Technologist in Cytology
- State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist
- Bachelor's in related field
- Bachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985
- Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.
- Hospital experience not required, training available
