What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Surgical Technician Fulltime - Surgery (Franklin, LA) position at Bayou Bend Health System?
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a clinically competent individual who possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
This role includes but is not limited to the passing of instruments, suture and supplies, and accountability for surgical counts. This position is Full-Time and requires night and weekend call.
Requires certification the NBSTSA(National board of surgical technology and surgical assisting) with a minimum of 2 years experience preferably in Orthopedics, GYN, and General Surgery.
Salary is commensurate with experience. BLS required upon hire.
