BC Wood Products is Virginia's most prominent industrial manufacturer of custom wooden pallets and crates.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Floor Lead to work 1st Shift / Day Shift (Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at our Richmond location. The ideal candidate will have experience leading manufacturing teams, operating forklifts and machinery, managing inventory, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Starting Pay: $18 per hour & eligible for a pay increase based upon performance after 90 days

The ideal candidate will have experience leading manufacturing teams, operating forklifts and machinery, managing inventory, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Starting Pay: $18 per hour & eligible for a pay increase based upon performance after 90 days
- A pre-employment background check and drug test is required.
- Overtime work is available and sometimes required (including on Saturdays)
- Conducting and verifying accuracy of inventory counts and documentation.
- Assisting with inventory control and stock management.
- Following and enforcing safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Communicating clearly with team members, management, and other departments.
- Ensuring dismantling is fed with proper material.
- Ensuring the grinder team is keeping pace.
- Keeping up with the corrugation baler.
- Managing the sorting team and keeping up with trailer unloads.
- Ensuring count sheets and sorting sheets are collected and turned in.
- Serving as the back-up forklift driver, grinder operator, and sorter as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
- Priior experience working in manufacturing.
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to forklift operation.
