Beanstalk, a global brand extension agency and consultancy, extends brands through the strategic and creative development of licensed products. The company works with leading brands, institutions, entertainment properties, personalities, and other high-profile clients to leverage licensing as a strategic tool to enhance brand awareness, increase consumer touchpoints, and generate revenue. Current Beanstalk clients include Procter & Gamble, Diageo, Stanley Black & Decker, The Met, Microsoft Studios, Kellanova and WK Kellogg Co., among others.

 

Beanstalk seeks an Associate Director of Brand Management to lead the development and execution of strategic licensing programs for one of our top clients, working across various household consumer product brands. This involves working with high-level executives at Fortune 500 companies, necessitating a professional demeanor, superior listening and relationship building skills. Someone with a strong background in CPG brands and products is highly desirable. The Associate Director is responsible for supporting multiple brands in various global regions and managing licensees, requiring a strong leadership background, ability to prioritize and exceptional organizational skills.

 

The candidate must have the ability to provide a high level of client service to understand and implement their strategic plans to meet and exceed agreed upon goals.  

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Lead Client Relationships and set priorities for team
  • Develop licensing extension strategies
  • Research and size category opportunities
  • Drive sales efforts with the team in a variety of categories
  • Develop and pitch prospects
  • Negotiate deal terms through contract execution
  • Oversee financial analysis of overall program results
  • Develop and manage key licensees on product development, retail, and promotions
  • Manage and develop direct reports

 

Beanstalk is seeking candidates with 5-7 years’ experience that have a background in licensing, client service, retail planning, brand strategy, sales, negotiation and/or consulting. This candidate must be able to communicate effectively though both oral and written communication and have strong Power Point & Excel skills. Previous experience in consumer product extensions for top CPG companies highly desirable.
