POSITION SUMMARY: Uses the POS (Point of Sale) system to input specials and enter and complete customer orders. Cleans and resets tables, keeps countertops, floor and service area clean and presentable.  Ensures food quality and provides excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following,

• Takes orders and completes money transactions.
• Presents food to guests.
• Keeps Three Rivers Eatery dining room and surrounding area clean and stocked.
• Does specific daily/weekly cleaning duties.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned.

AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Cashier experience, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Must provide or obtain a Food Handlers certification upon hire and maintain during employment. 
• Must provide or obtain the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and maintain during employment.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

• Basic personal computer skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
• Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Good grooming habits and manners.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state of the art filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the environment. Employee smoking is only permitted in designated employee areas during working hours.
