Cultivator Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cultivator to join our team in Garden City. As a Cultivator, you will be responsible for the cultivation of cannabis plants from seed to harvest.
Responsibilities:
- Mixing and adding nutrients to reservoirs correctly and consistently.
- Capable of learning the pruning and defanning procedures for the vegetative and flower stages of growth quickly and efficiently.
- Pesticide application.
- Transplanting large numbers of plants quickly without damage.
- Cutting clones with an effective survival rate of 90%.
- Cultivation Facility Cleaning
- Monitoring Ideal Environmental Parameters
- Cultivation Irrigation Strategies
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial cultivation highly desired, but not required.
- Ability to retain basic chemistry knowledge required to properly mix and apply nutrients and pesticides.
- Self motivated worker who knows what needs to be done and makes it happen with minimal supervision (once fully trained).
- Ability to perform monotonous tasks correctly and consistently over long periods without diminishing quality of work.
- Basic knowledge of cannabis physiology expected.
- Ability to work as part of a team to ensure the grow functions at the highest level.
- Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs at a time, and go up and down stairs multiple times per day, with or without accommodation.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position, regularly scheduled for 40 hours over 5 consecutive days. The current schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 11:30am-8:00pm. Pay starts at $16/hour and includes a competitive benefits package, including Health Insurance (Kaiser), Dental Insurance (Delta Dental), Vision (VSP), and Gap/Accident/Illness (Transamerica). We also participate in Colorado SecureSavings.
