Job Description:
This position entails performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create detailed images of body structures. Radiologists utilize these images to diagnose conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for MRI exams by explaining the procedure, administering contrast agents when necessary, and positioning them correctly within the scanner.
- Select suitable imaging techniques and ensure the technical quality of scans.
- Enter and monitor patient data accurately.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Educational background: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
