Job Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) implements accurate, safe, patient centric anesthetic care. The CRNA cultivates a patient-centric environment which focuses on the whole individual inclusive of physical, psychosocial, spiritual and functional needs of the patient, family, and significant others.
Main Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care
- Implement accurate, safe, patient-centric anesthetic care

- Ensure appropriate documentation within hospital and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
- Education: Completion of Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program, Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Council on accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs
- License: Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Experience: Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line recommended
Special Skills
- Sharp concentration and focus, ability to stay calm under stressful conditions
- Clear communication skills with surgeons and surgical team, patients, and families
Physical Demands
- Ideal vision, hearing, and tactile sensation
- Motor function to elicit pertinent information, stand for long periods, wear lead for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases
- Lift 25 pounds, move self/patients between anesthesia locations

- Current State of Connecticut Nursing License; and
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
