Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
">This position is responsible for performing x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Promptly greet patients when entering waiting areas, exam rooms, and laboratory or x-ray rooms ">
- Consistently communicate with patients on wait times and provide direction to the next step in the treatment process ">
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent/hazardous situations ">
- Execute follow-up calls with a sense of urgency ">
- Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary ">
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate ">
- Assist with patient transfers ">
- Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider ">
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits ">
- Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians ">
- Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed ">
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques ">
- Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty ">
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits ">
- Assume responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources ">
- Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure ">
- High school diploma or equivalent ">
- BLS Certification ">
- AR State X-Ray License ">
- ARRT Certification preferred ">
- Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred ">
