X-Ray Technician

X-Ray Technician needed to perform radiology procedures in a medical setting. This role involves operating diagnostic equipment, developing film, and preparing the room for x-ray testing. The successful candidate will have knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience with Medical Assistant duties.

Duties:

• Promptly greet patients in waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicate wait times and provide direction to the next step in treatment process
• Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent/hazardous situations
• Execute follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/check-out procedures
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information
• Assist with patient transfers
• Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure quality exams
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
• Evaluate and report equipment malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License
• ARRT Certification preferred
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
