Your role at BHSN:
As a Family Support Respite Provider at BHSN, you will assist school aged children who are diagnosed with a social, emotional, behavioral, mental health, or developmental disability by taking them out of the home to engage in community or other various activities and to provide each child opportunities to develop social skills and experience success while having fun.

What your day might look like:
- Provides direct supervision of child to relieve the stress of parents;
- Facilitates engagement in meaningful play;
- Participates in the writing and timely completion of any required documentation in accordance with state/federal regulations and agency policies and procedures;
- Is willing to work flexible hours corresponding to the needs of the program (typically after school);
- Additional duties as assigned.
Your skills and qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- CPR/First Aid is required (training provided, if necessary)
- Valid NYS driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier;
- Possession of a vehicle deemed safe to transport children with current registration, inspection, and insurance; and willingness to use own vehicle.
