Family Support Manager

Location: Montgomery County
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO:  FSS Associate Director
Physical Requirements:  Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time is required.  Ability to lift 35 lb, transfer a person from a wheelchair, bend, kneel, walk are also required.
Hours of Work:   Full time hourly position based on 40 hours per week. Work schedule varies.
Frequent evening hours required, hours prior to 8:30 am or beyond 4:30 pm plus one spot check per person per quarter.   Weekends required to complete payroll or for on-call
Pay Range: The pay range is $24.75 to $36.00


Job Summary:  Oversee Family Support Services Programs as assigned.  Scheduling, hiring, training and supervision of staff is key.  Must ensure regulatory compliance in all programs.
Manage budgets and FTE and OT compliance.  Ensure continuous quality improvement and a collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience required working directly with people with disabilities and supervising staff functions.
  •  Must be med certified and complete other required training.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read & write the English language
           
Major Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for the supervision, collaboration, discipline, hiring and termination of DSP
  2. Inform the FSS AD of concerns or potential problems as they arise, and seek resolution to correct
  3. Follow procedure for spending and accounting for participant funds as defined by agency and OPWDD guidelines
  4. Complete daily FTE tracking schedule and overtime report
  5. Complete billing as required 
  6. Develop plans based on individual needs and personal outcome interview –Complete monthly Res Hab summary sheet for each individual                     
  7. Act as weekend and weekday on-call administer as assigned
  8. Ensure adequate staffing levels
  9. Develop and implement programs, ie:  recess, recreation, wraparound, Community Habilitation
