Position Overview:

Are you ready to be a pivotal part of fostering thriving communities? We're seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Property Manager to help support the oversight of the day-to-day operations at Arbora Court nestled in the heart of University District This property provides vital housing to those qualifying under Low Income Tax Credit Program. As an Assistant Property Manager on our Site Management team, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing our goals of strengthening our communities and helping our residents thrive.


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm, 40 hours per week, with flexibility. Some evening or weekend hours may occasionally be required to meet the needs of leasing appointments.


Your Impact:

  • Discover the pulse of the University District with a Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility including occasional evenings or weekends for special leasing appointments
  • Craft exceptional customer experiences, leaving residents, prospects, and community partners raving about their interactions with you
  • Successfully manage rent collections, balance resident accounts, and drive toward property financial success
  • Manage eligibility, screening, and leasing by engaging with prospective residents, processing applications, and ensuring compliance
  • Maintain resident happiness by handling complaints, enforcing lease provisions, and being a guardian of resident rights and responsibilities
  • Collaborate across teams to create an impeccable living environment, engaging in maintenance coordination, property upkeep, managing inventory and safety measures
  • Be a beacon of support for resident needs, collaborating with Bellwether’s Resident Services and Facilities teams in championing community building.

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • You bring 1 years of experience in a residential property management, leasing, or high-volume customer service role.
  • You have first-hand experience with the world of affordable housing programs including LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8.
  • Fluent in property management software, experience with Yardi is a plus!
  • Your customer service is excellent, and your problem-solving skills can take on any challenge that comes your way.
  • You thrive in inclusive environments and have a passion for connecting with a wide range of individuals. At your core, you are committed to equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
  • Knowledgeable in Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Law.
  • You have strong attention to detail and are highly organized with a knack for keeping resident files in order
  • You know your way around Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You've got reliable transportation to get to work and explore the city
