EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School
diploma or equivalent preferred and knowledge
of electricity, plumbing,
carpentry, painting, and
HVAC.
Minimum eligibility requirements
- Relevant work experience (2 years preferred).

Essential functions
- Develop and maintain
a preventative maintenance program for the campus.
- Oversees, coordinates, and completes appropriate tasks to maintain
the facilities at the senior living community.
- Completes tasks including but not limited to
replacing light bulbs, maintaining the grounds, repairing electrical, painting, plumbing, cleaning
gutters, HVAC, appliances, and coordination of trash removal.
- Aware of state,
federal, and other applicable safety
regulations that apply to senior
living and ensures buildings
are in compliance with the regulations.
- Works with community
Executive Director to create and implement a plan of correction for any
maintenance deficiencies that may be noted during facility surveys by
government agencies.
- Develops and maintains
the policies and procedures of the maintenance department.
- Completes routine inspections of life safety
systems.
- Coordinates the maintenance and repairs of residential units. Also, coordinates and completes
necessary tasks and any repairs to prepare a unit for a new move-in.
- Ensures maintenance tasks are performed
within budget.
- Coordinates and maintains
the inventory of maintenance supplies
and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Customer
service
- Responsible for ensuring
that all team members are providing excellent
customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform job duties
for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Take initiative to ensure resident
safety and satisfaction is a priority.
- Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors
include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents’ families
and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral
sources, vendors and regulators).
- Answer phones appropriately, according to company
and community standards.
Residents’ rights
- Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
Other
- Follows & communicates company policies and procedures.

Working conditions (travel,
hours, environment)
- Scheduled hours; possible
overtime. May work in other positions temporarily when necessary.
- Is subject to callback during
emergency conditions (e.g.,
severe weather, evacuation, post- disaster, etc.).
- Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., through
the workday, as well
as to reactions from dust, disinfectants, and other air contaminants.
- May be subject
to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
