POSITION SUMMARY:
The facility director maintains, services and repairs systems, equipment and buildings to include minor repairs, painting, simple construction, preventive maintenance, etc. Facility director will be required to maintain all pool mechanical operations. Coordinates and oversees work of any contracted maintenance, grounds keeping staff, etc. as applicable. Works with outside agencies such as fire, health, building departments, etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds. Ensures that the facility and grounds are safe and ready to open as scheduled in inclement weather, consistent with reasonable safety considerations. Serves as first responder for non-medical facility emergencies such as broken pipes, flooding, HVAC failure, power outages, etc. After-hours, weekend and holiday availability is essential. Attends and actively participates in Association Property Director team meetings. Assists with Annual Impact Fund Campaign, other fundraising activities, and special events.
** This position is a multi-branch position to assist with daily facility needs. Time will be split between 2 branches each week.
** This position will be assigned to the above locations but may be required to assist with duties / needs at other YMCA locations when requested.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with facility or property management required
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage own projects to completion
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays required
- Experience / working knowledge with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, blueprint reading, OSHA training, pool certification (CPO)
- Basic handy-man skills with a mechanical aptitude.
- Hands-on experience requiring light to moderate lifting, reaching, climbing and walking. Ability to climb 10’ ladder.
- Pool Certification (CPO) required and available upon employment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required and available upon employment.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Computer system operations preferred
- Valid NC driver license required. Reliable transportation is necessary. Must be able to travel within our association coverage area.
