Description
The Quality Engineer will define, implement, and maintain a Quality System culture by developing and maintaining an efficient Quality System and tools to meet or exceed Customer expectations.
Requirements
- Facilitates communication among production departments and management.
- Implement QMS structure according to company guidelines and Quality Systems through the specific plant frame
- Develop plant specific Quality procedures and instructions
- Ensure availability of periodical Plant Quality reporting
- Monitoring, tracking, analysis of results and promotion of recovery plans in case of deviations
- Ensure knowledge of CSR and training at plant level about QMS structure and evolution
- Monitor Customer satisfaction at plant level
- Driving local improvements through Management Reviews
- Perform Internal System, Process and Product Audits
- Manage Third Party Audits preparation and execution
- Support preparation and execution of Customer Audits
- Follow customer systems in a daily basis to communicate quality issues to the organization and address containment actions and analysis
- Make internal escalation in case of need to solve customer's problems, to involve all plant functions to achieve solutions
- Manage improvement plans in case of deviations from targets or after customer audits
- Follow customer assessments in the plant for product approval and release to production
- Drafts and implements policies and procedures to improve the manufacturing process and the quality of goods produced.
- Drafts and maintains logs, records, and other documentation of testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and technological advances in the applicable industry and in the quality control field.
- Drafts and maintains standard operating procedures, manuals, and documentation for the manufacturing and QA processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related industrial, scientific, or business field preferred with at least three years of related experience in manufacturing quality and production required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
