Summary Echo Technologist Full-Time FTE 1.0, 40 hrs. I First Shift BHCOR-Radiology Diagnostic I Corbin, KY $25,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals Baptist Health Imaging services include Inpatients, emergency patients, as well as Outpatients. The Noninvasive Lab offers diagnostic services that do not require surgical procedures. This includes echocardiograms and other tests to monitor heart function and detect abnormalities. Provides health care services by applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis. Preforms sonography procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a Radiologist, Cardiologist or a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. Job Description: Echo Technologist Full-Time: DESCRIPTION: Produce quality images for Radiologist/Cardiologist review. Record image release in EHR and verify PACS archiving. Send images to tele-radiology after hours; report PACS issues. Participate in peer review and assist with accreditation. Support equipment/software selection with leadership. Order/restock supplies, report equipment and safety concerns. Schedule maintenance with vendors; assist with EHR updates. Manage inventory, equipment upkeep, and budget proposals. Stay current on regulatory standards. Verify orders, patient identity, and history; document in EHR. Perform time-out procedures; follow exam protocols. Provide initial interpretation, coordinate with transport Monitor patients during exams; assist providers as needed. Maintain professional conduct and teamwork. Follow hospital policies; manage patient flow and staff schedules. Train students and new employees on equipment and protocols. Adhere to dress code and safety equipment requirements. Attend safety training and infection control programs. Participate in fire and disaster drills; follow emergency guidelines. Requirements: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). Basic Life Support is required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
