Overview:
This position is responsible for efficient receiving and processing deliveries, to include verifying delivered items and promptly resolving problems or discrepancies, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing returns. To be successful in this position, you will be able to inspect deliveries for damage with great detail, be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items, be able to organize and maintain the warehouse inventory and assist in inventory verifications. This position reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
Qualifications
Preferred education requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
Minimum experience requirements:
- At least 1 year of retail or warehousing experience.
- Experience working with POS, Accounting, Inventory and General Administrative software packages a plus.

- Skill in establishing priorities and managing both workload and time wisely.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and co-workers.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work direction.
- Ability to multitask and follow through on work assignments, especially those that are very detailed.
- Ability to work occasional weekends, especially during busy season.
Essential Job Functions -Including but not limited to:
- Inventory Receiving - both physical and through software.
- Inventory Control utilizing Epicor, Mango, Ace Net and physical counting.
- Unloading and loading of incoming & outgoing freight.
- Merchandise stocking and price verification.
- Maintaining warehouse(s) and outdoor storage areas organization & cleanliness.
- Processing of returns including returns as necessary to vendor.
- Occasional help with deliveries to customers and other store.
- Assembly of merchandise including Grills, Lawnmowers, Snow Throwers, Wheelbarrows, Stihl and more.
Physical Activities:
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time in hot and humid or cold environments.
- Able to frequently push or pull moderately heavy objects (approx. 60-100lbs).
- Able to lift approximately 60lbs on a regular basis.
- Able to use a ladder.
- Licensed or willing to be licensed to operate forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack.
- Operation of various store equipment and tools.
Schedule: Typically, Mon-Friday 8:00am 4:30 pm. During the busy season work on weekend days may be required. Additionally, on occasion throughout the year, it may be necessary to work a weekend day from time to time. On ACE Truck delivery days (currently Wednesdays and Fridays) Receiving & Warehouse Specialist is required to begin work earlier than 8:00am.
