Overview
Position will repair engines and perform scheduled maintenance on a wide variety of customer-owned and store-owned rental equipment. Our Mechanics’ dedication to doing the best possible job will mean our customers can be sure they are getting back safe, reliable, ready-to-work tools. From repairing engines to performing regularly scheduled maintenance, we bring out the best in every piece of equipment. Our Mechanics work in a clean, modern, climate-controlled work environment, where they can work comfortably all year round.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in small engines or an aptitude for general mechanics.
- 2-Stroke experience preferred.
- Skill in establishing priorities and managing both workload and time wisely.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and co-workers.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work directions.
- Ability to multitask and follow through on work assignments, especially those that are detailed.
- Ability to follow health and safety compliance.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles to ensure customers can receive repaired equipment and feel safe and able to use the equipment with ease.
- Work as part of a team to solve technical and mechanical problems quickly and efficiently.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Physical Activities
- Ability to work on foot (for long periods of time).
- Able to frequently push or pull moderately heavy objects (approximately 50lbs – 100lbs.)
- Ability to lift approximately 50lbs.
- Have manual dexterity and physical stamina.
